Final Blog Summary

Image

I had this blog as a project for my FDOM class. When class first began, I was absolutely elated that I got to have a semester long blog project! I mean, I had a tumblr blog, and I loved using that! I started this blog and had a heck of a time organizing and playing around with my theme, However, when I actually began the project, I was at a loss. Tumblr is just reblogging what I like to see, but with this blog, I actually had to create content. So I decided to make a blog about what I was most passionate about. Books, obviously. So that was very broad and vague topic, so I had to consider what I wanted to focus on and post about. So that was a bit of a struggle for me. Obviously I have other classes in school, so getting the motivation and time to post was a struggle as well. However, this project definitely benefited me in many ways. I never had a serious blog, so I had to learn to filter and censor myself. I also never uploaded a video to youtube before, so that was a new experience. I also think blogging will benefit me career-wise. I plan on applying to the University Star, and I know there is a section where you can put any blogs you have. So maybe they’ll consider hiring me based on that.

All in all, I think this blog has benefited me in many ways, and I really hope I’ll have time to continue writing about what I love.

Improve an app!

Now, I know I’m not the only broke college student out there. And being broke means we don’t have much money to spend on ourselves, or on the things we love. Now, I’ve had a job since I was sixteen, and I’ll be honest with you, I cannot remember the last time I bought a book. If you’re tech-savvy, like most teenagers are, then you have discovered that if you type “Book Name pdf download” into Google, 95% of the time you’ll find the book you want to read!

So, there are already many PDF viewer apps out there, and qPDF Viewer is by far my favorite!

Image

You can download a PDF and view it in the app, easy peasy! However, the app does have some downsides. Occasionally, when you download it, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll be opening it on your phone, it will look like this.

Image

It looks pretty nice, right? But if you have bad eyesight like a lot of booknerds do, then you’ll want to click on Text Reflow to make the text bigger and fit your phone so you won’t have to scroll side to side!

However, this happens to me way too often.

After I click Text Reflow, the text gets all smushed together and pretty much impossible to comprehend! So, if I had anything to do with this app, I would fix this problem. I would also make the very boring homepage more fun and the very unorganized files button a lot easier to use!

If the creators of this app don’t fix small things like this, then no one will want to use their app! All anyone wants is an app that’s quick and easy to use.
